Slow travel through one of Lanzarote’s most peaceful corners. Here’s a plan for a gentle but full day exploring the southeast and southern coast of the island. A bit of nature, a touch of culture, time for a swim, and a plate of fresh fish to round it off.
Timanfaya, El Golfo and a taste of the south. This route is perfect for a day when you want to dive into the more volcanic, wild and dramatic side of Lanzarote or if you’re simply craving some time in nature and maybe a dip in the sea.
This past May, I had the pleasure of hosting something truly special at Espacio Fenomena in collab with @thesuncollective and @spectrumwip: a three-day creative retreat led by illustrator and muralist Amaia Arrazola, her very first time guiding a retreat, and a milestone I’m proud to have supported from the beginning.
Perfect plan for those windless days. Lanzarote has its moods and so does the weather. When the northern winds take a break, it’s the perfect chance to enjoy some of the island’s northern beaches, often too exposed on gusty days.
This June, we had the joy of welcoming The Sun Collective back to Espacio Fenomena, exactly one year after hosting Lucia´s very first retreat here.
