About us
Who We Are,
And What We Stand For.
What’s the Story behind Espacio Fenómena?
Espacio Fenomena was born out of a personal wish: to create an extension of my grandma’s summer home energy. A place where people can gather without pressure, where coffee is always brewing, a bocata de chocolate is the best merienda, and there’s always room for one more. A shelter for family & friends and for anyone looking for something gentle, real, and a bit off track.
The person behind it
Hi! I’m Gabby, I’m your host and for me, Fenómena is both a home and a living project.
It’s where my love for design, nature, and human connection come together.
I do most things myself, from preparing rooms to welcoming guests and that’s what keeps the experience personal, imperfect, and real.
Who are our guests?
If you’re the kind of traveler who enjoys the quiet rhythm of small islands, who doesn’t mind a few surprises along the way, and who appreciates comfort, yet values connection even moreover, then Espacio Fenómena is for you.
Life here moves at its own pace. We’re on a small island, in a rural corner of Lanzarote, where things sometimes take a little longer than expected. Weather can change, plans can shift, and occasionally, small surprises show up along the way.
My style of hosting isn’t for everyone and that’s okay.
Espacio Fenómena isn’t a hotel; it’s my home. Most of the time, there’s just one person behind everything from cleaning and repairs to bookings, check-ins, and those late-night WhatsApp messages.
We’re not perfect but every detail is cared for with intention. The goal is simple: to create an experience that feels genuine, calm, and deeply connected to this place.
My idea of a perfect day in Lanzarote
It starts with a sunrise surf, followed by toast slathered in butter, and some local papaya and banana. Then maybe a visit to La Fundación, or a stop at the market for some fresh veggies. A sandwich at a hidden natural pool. Listening to the same song over and over while driving through Timanfaya. An aperitif at a local bodega. A sunset walk in Famara. Two rounds of salted caramel ice cream, sitting on the outside bench, watching the neighbors walk their dogs. Some silly jokes around the dinner table to end the day just right.
Nothing extraordinary and that’s the point.
I live here all year round. I host people, yes but more than that, I live alongside them.
Every person who passes through brings something different, and that’s what keeps Fenómena alive. We make it alive!
