Let us walk you through a few weekend plans
If you’re landing early in Lanzarote, don’t worry, there’s actually a really nice way to start your trip while @espaciofenomena gets ready to welcome you.
Let’s ease into island mode.
But first, coffee! Start your day with a good coffee and something sweet at Levain. It´s a lovely bakery just a couple of minutes away from your first stop, la Fundación.
César Manrique Foundation. An essential first contact with Lanzarote.
This was Manrique’s home for 20 years after returning from New York, and honestly, there’s no better introduction to the island. I won’t give too much away, but it’s a perfect example of how architecture and nature can exist in total harmony.
The lower level is particularly special: five volcanic bubbles transformed into living spaces, all connected by lava tunnels. It’s easy to imagine the gatherings that once took place here; artists, locals, and personalities of the time coming together in a truly unique setting.
The visit takes around an hour.
Next stop: Famara. It has a raw, untamed energy. Wide open space, the sound of the ocean, and the cliffs in the background. If the weather is on your side, you might feel like going for a swim. If not, just walking along the shoreline is already something special.
On your way to Espacio Fenómena, make a final stop at the Monumento al Campesino.
Another gem by César Manrique, and a beautiful representation of traditional Canarian architecture and culture. Entry is free, it’s open all year round, and it brings together agriculture, craftsmanship and local gastronomy in one place.
If you’re starting to feel hungry, the restaurant is definitely worth it; simple, traditional food done really well.
And just like that, without rushing, you’ve already experienced a big part of what makes Lanzarote so special.
By the time you arrive at the house, you won’t just be checking in, you’ll already feel connected to the island.

From village markets in the north to late afternoon drinks in historic corners, everything feels close, easy, and quietly vibrant.
