Surf lessons at Famara Beach

Join Gabby for a surf experience rooted in skill, safety, and soul.

Lanzarote is known as the “Hawaii of Europe” for good reason. Year-round swell, volcanic backdrops, and empty lineups make it one of the most special places to surf on the continent. But for all the world-class reef breaks, one beach stands out for learning and progressing in a safe and natural setting: Famara.

This 6-kilometer stretch of white sand is one of the most consistent beach breaks in the Canary Islands. With waves for every level and a mellow, surf-town vibe, it’s the perfect place to fall in love with surfing or take your skills to the next level.

Meet Your Instructor — Gabby

Hi, I’m Gabby, your local surf guide and instructor.

I’ve spent my life in the water, first as a high-level windsurf athlete, now as a passionate surf instructor. But beyond technique and safety, what truly matters to me is how you feel in the ocean. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel supported, confident, and stoked no matter your level!

I’m a certified surf coach by the Spanish Surfing Federation and the International Surfing Association (ISA), as well as a licensed lifeguard, so you’ll always be in safe hands.

All Levels Welcome

From first-time surfers to advanced intermediate surfers, I tailor each session to your needs and goals:

  • Never surfed before? I’ll guide you step by step, in a safe and encouraging environment.
  • Want to improve your pop-up, paddling, or wave selection? Let’s refine your technique.
  • Looking to connect more deeply with the ocean and enjoy the ride? I’m here for that too.

Classes take place at Famara Beach, where conditions are ideal for learning and progressing. The charming village of Caleta de Famara is just steps away, full of local bars, fresh fish, surf shops, and barefoot energy.
